PertLabs is a software company in New Brunswick, Canada, incorporated in 2026. We make productivity apps for macOS and sell them outright.

Why on-device

Most transcription, note-taking, and writing tools now route your work through someone else’s servers and charge you monthly for the privilege. That is a reasonable business model and a poor deal for anyone handling private material. Local hardware is fast enough to do the work itself, so we would rather sell you the software and stay out of the loop.

In practice that means our apps do not require an account, do not upload your files, and do not stop working when a billing cycle ends.

What we make

PertScribe transcribes audio entirely on your Mac. It is free while in development, and will be a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. It is where the rest of our productivity work starts.

Other apps

We also run Mazebert TD, a tower defense RPG created by Andreas Hager. We keep the servers up and the game evolving for the players who still love it.
