PertScribe turns recordings into text on your own Mac. You choose a speech model and download it once; from then on transcription runs entirely on your machine, and your audio and your transcripts never leave it. There is no account to create, and with a model on disk the app works the same on a plane as it does at your desk.
PertScribe is free while it is in development. It will not become a subscription — when it is finished it becomes a one-time purchase, with no monthly fee and no per-minute metering. Everything happens on hardware you already paid for, so there is nothing for us to meter in the first place.
If PertLabs disappeared tomorrow, your copy of PertScribe would keep working. That is the point of software that does not phone home.
